Stowmarket Christmas Fayre Returns for 2024!
The countdown to the highly anticipated Stowmarket Christmas Fayre at various locations is on! The town is getting ready for lots of seasonal fun on the 24th November starting at 10am till 4pm. Thousands of visitors will be able to enjoy this popular event where the will over 60 traders in the town centre to kick off the festive season, making it one of the biggest free Christmas Fayres in the County.
Visitors to this year’s Christmas Fayre can enjoy a wide variety of stalls in the town centre – everything from pottery, children’s clothes, jewellery, wreaths, local wine and everything in between. The shopping continues at The Mix with their Christmas Mixmas Market and the barn at the Food Museum. Once visitors have shopped until they’ve dropped, they can grab some scrumptious food at one of the many food vendors. Everything from burgers, sweet treats, cheese toastie to curries will be on offer to enjoy alongside a mulled wine, beer or festive coffee. Many of Stowmarket’s café’s will be open offering delicious food, festive drinks and somewhere to soak up the atmosphere. Guests will be able to get in the festive mood with music outside the John Peel Centre – the lineup includes carol singers, brass bands and choirs.
This family friendly events will be jam packed with activities for the whole family. There will be three free fairground rides across the town and at the Food Museum. Families can also enjoy free ice-skating in the Food Museum grounds, face painting and charity stalls at Red Gables or children’s crafts and activities in the Library and the John Peel Centre. If that isn’t enough families can catch Santa’s Christmas Cracker show at the Regal. There is even a meet and great session with Father Christmas after each show.
On the day of the Christmas Fayre visitors can enjoy the twinkling atmosphere under the towns Christmas lights and then step inside St Peter’s & St Mary’s Church to experience the spectacle of hundreds of decorated Christmas trees.
The event is sure to be a brilliant start to the festive season with something for all the family.
