When did you last listen to a good story? At the end of May, some of the country’s finest storytellers are flocking to the East Anglian Storytelling Festival at the Food Museum in Stowmarket to enchant an audience of storytellers and story listeners over a whole weekend: and it will be easier than ever for local people to come and join in the fun, with big discounts for anyone living in the Stowmarket area.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy: delightful, child-friendly puppetry and strictly-for-adults late night horror: from music and traditional dance to interactive family workshops and have-a-go story rounds. This year we are featuring stories and events that celebrate the land and all who look after it: expect late night bat walks, a chance to learn the myths behind the plants, or to build your own little forest storytelling shelters – and encounter some guardians of the land, both mythical and real-life.
