The Newmarket May Flyer  ’23

Welcome to The Newmarket May Flyer

In this month’s Newmarket Flyer: we hear from the Newmarket BID. We also hear about a new comedy club and their upcoming event.  As well as news from local charities, groups and local comment.

Comedy club comes to Newmarket

Guffaw Comedy Club has been running top-quality comedy events all over London and the South East since 1994 but in the past few years, they have found themselves homeless.

Not anymore. After a successful meeting with Christy, we are delighted to announce that they have found a brand-new home. The King Edward Vll Memorial Hall here in Newmarket.

The first show is an absolute corker and takes place on Thursday 25th May. Headlining the show is the multi award-winning star of ‘Live at the Apollo’ – Stephen K Amos – whilst support comes from the also multi award-winning
Mary Bourke. The show is hosted by Gordon Southern, who is just about the best compere in the business. Guffaw has long been committed to giving new talent a platform, and to that end, Lenny Walker and Nicky Vere-Compton will also be performing in the open slots.

The doors open at 7pm so come along early and have a drink at our fully licensed cash-only bar.

The show starts at approximately 8.30pm.

Tickets are on sale now priced £13.50 from https://www.wegottickets.com/event/575314 priced £13.50 +

£1.40 booking fee, or £17.00 on the door on the night.
The Memorial Hall is fully accessible and there will be a fully licensed CASH ONLY bar open on
the night.
