Following a very successful application procedure, we are delighted to announce that 19 businesses will benefit from a Shop Front Improvement Grant, intended to improve the look and feel of our High Street. The scheme is a joint venture between Love Newmarket BID and Newmarket Town Council, and part funded by West Suffolk Council through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

This is a fantastic opportunity to give a boost to our businesses and will enhance the day-to-day experience of both our residents and visitors. Keep your eyes peeled for the improvements taking place over the coming months.

The Trovr reverse vending machine is now fully up and running outside The Guineas Shopping Centre and is already proving hugely popular. The machine recycles most plastic drinks bottles and cans with a barcode, with each item worth one point. You can then redeem your points for rewards at local businesses including Nancy’s Teashop, The Pantry and Wildwood, plus many national online retailers. It’s a win-win for you and the environment so be sure to save your bottles and cans to recycle next time you are in town.

We’re delighted to be working with the Guineas Shopping Centre yet again on some of their seasonal events, with Easter being the first one of the year. On Tuesday 9th April there will be a mini farm within the shopping centre- be sure to follow Love Newmarket on social media for all of the details which will be announced soon.
