The Kesgrave Flyer November is now available online! This month’s issue features a variety of articles, including:
1st Kesgrave Scout Group
Christmas Card Collection
The Scouts Christmas card collection and delivery service is running again year. The delivery area covers Kesgrave, Rushmere, Ipswich Borough and Martlesham (i.e. all postcodes IP1 to IP5) together with Felixstowe, The Trimleys and Kirton and some of the surrounding villages including Claydon, Barham, Bramford, Gt Blakenham, Westerfield, Witnesham, Henley, Tuddenham and Old Martlesham. Postboxes will be available from 25th November at many collection points across the area with local ones including, Kiln Farm Nursery, Little Luxuries (Penzance Road), House of Hair (Edmonton Road), 2nd Stop Charity Shop, Kesgrave Library, Orwell Vets (Hartree Way) and 7 Quantock Close Rushmere St Andrew IP5 1AS. The cost per card will be 35p and the closing date is Monday 11th December. All profits are shared between the scout groups taking part in the ratio of the number of cards collected and delivered. Christmas Fayre
This big annual fundraiser will start on Friday 24th November when the Christmas Tree lights are switched on outside the Scout Hall and there will be ice skating and Santas Grotto on the square from 4pm. The Fair will also be open on Saturday 25th November (10am to 3.30pm) and Sunday 26th November (10am to 2pm). We have lots of gift ideas for young and old, cards, gift bags, paper, decorations, and the Hamper draw. Come along and buy your presents with many at pocket money prices. If you have any unwanted items that would make presents, or you would like to donate a draw prize then please leave the items in the box in the Scout Hall entrance. On Saturday 25th November we are also offering other stallholders the option to have a table at our Fayre. Jumble Sales
Jumble Sales are also run every month and the next dates for these are 11 Nov and 2 Dec. There are always lots of bargains to be had including clothing, bric a brac, books and games.

The Forget Me Not Cafe
The Forget Me Not Cafe welcomes anyone who feels lonely and isolated and would like to come along for a chat and cup of coffee and see whether they would like to attend regularly. Also anyone who has memory problems or dementia is most welcome but must be accompanied .
We offer crafts, various games and plenty of other pastimes to enjoy with brilliant support from our band of helpers.
Sing a long sessions have become a highlight when we have not got a visiting entertainer. Bingo is another popular game enjoyed by our regulars.
A current favourite is Dominos, this has proved very popular with the men and it is amazing to see how individuals have responded to this game.
We meet in the Kesgrave Community Hall, Twelve Acre Approach on Wednesdays from 9.30am – 12.30pm.
