Kesgrave Town Council Speed Indicator Devices (SID’s) in Kesgrave
In August last year, with the permission of SCC Highways the Town Council had five posts erected in various locations around the town to enable a SID to be mounted and activated. The SID is designed to slow drivers by showing their speed in red with ‘slow down’ when travelling above the required speed limit for that road. This is to improve road safety in our town by reminding drivers to travel at the correct speed.
The Town Council, with the support of funding from our three district Cllrs now have another SID for use in the town and are in the process of having an additional three posts erected at other locations in the town. the Town Council is committed to educating and improving speed and road safety within the town and we will continue to work with the highway’s authority and other key stakeholders in achieving this.
Would you like to be involved in planting some Spring bulbs? The Town Council over the last couple of years have been planting lots of daffodil and other bulbs in different areas of Kesgrave. We are gradually increasing the areas in the town and would like you to be involved.
Is there an area near to your property where you would like to plant some bulbs? If so please contact us and we will come and have a look and if the site is appropriate we will organise a time for planting and bring the bulbs along too!
