The Woodbridge Flyer Magazine January 2024
Woodbridge Cruising Club would like to wish everyone a very happy New Year.
Members enjoyed the festive season with the Commodore’s Christmas party the highlight for many. Black tie was the dress, with sparkling entertainment provided by the members. The New Year’s Day walk was a gentle stroll around Woodbridge, finishing at the club house with welcome homemade soup.
The fortnightly Thursday walks are enjoyed by members and dogs, and finish with a welcome meal at a local pub. There was a delightful walk around Snape, across the marshes and to Cliff Reach, a visit to Saint Botolph’s Church followed by a meal at the Plough and Sail.

Future Sunday talks include a talk on fuel tanks and how to clean contaminated fuel, and a talk by Felixstowe Coast Patrol. There is also the popular annual Beetle Drive and the Wednesday suppers which are a very sociable event, with delicious food and a drink in the club house overlooking the river.
Burn’s Night is eagerly anticipated, with traditional fare and even the piping of the haggis.
