Portal Woods

The Parish Council would like to thank the members of the Portal Woods Working Group who have worked tirelessly over the last few months to raise awareness of the Parish Council’s proposed purchase of Portal Woods. By giving up your valuable time for leaflet & letter drops, attendance at events, adding leaflets to local publications and attending meetings. We would not have been able to spread the word as far as we did without your help.

We must also extend our thanks for the support received from the residents of Martlesham for completing our Community Consultation and for the generous pledges received not only from Martlesham Residents but those from our neighbouring Parishes.

Community Hall Carpark, Felixstowe Road

We are pleased to advise that 2 further accessible parking bays have been added to the rear of the Community Hall.

Centenary Play Space

Work has been carried out to refurbish some of the play equipment, including the cable runway.

Recreation Ground

We have received confirmation of further funding which we hope will allow us to proceed with the installation of a purpose-built Muga on the footprint of the redundant Pétanque Piste.

Diamond Jubilee Bike Trails

Work will begin shortly to revamp the bike trails. The trails will be closed for a short period whilst the work is under taken, but we hope to reopen in time for the October half term.
