Summer Fête

We would like to thank everyone who braved the British summer weather on 19th July and attended the fête on the Green.
Despite the forecasted weather, the day turned out to be mostly dry and the turnout was good.

Special thanks should go to Mike Irwin, Helen Davey and the band of volunteers whose drive, determination and hard work ensured the event went ahead smoothly.
We would love to hear from anyone wishing to join the fête volunteer team to enable us to continue with this annual community event.
Pathways, Footpaths, Cycleways and Public Rights of Way
We have received several concerning reports from members of the community about the way pathways, footpaths, cycleways and public rights of way are being used in and around Martlesham.

These routes can fall under the jurisdiction of Suffolk County Council highways or private landowners, and some are permitted rights of way. The Parish Council will aim to assist members of the public where possible by putting them in touch with the relevant landowner or authority if necessary. We would urge members of the public to be mindful and considerate of all users while out and about.
