Martlesham Council
Welcome!
We would like to welcome Laura Sheridan to the Team. Laura was co-opted as a member of the Parish Council during the full Council Meeting in January. We look forward to working alongside Laura.

Projects Update for 2026
In 2026, we will be continuing our work to push forward with the following projects:-
• Resurfacing of the carpark at Walk Farm Wood, Felixstowe Road
• Remodel of the Diamond Jubilee Bike Track
• Repurposing of the Pétanque Piste at the Recreation Ground
A pre planning application has also been submitted for a potential new pedestrian access to the Recreation Ground and resurfacing of the carpark.
We are looking forward to sharing positive updates on the above projects in the coming months. If you have any ideas for future project, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Parish Precept 2026/27
At the January Parish Council meeting, Councillors agreed the budget and precept for the 2026/27 financial year.
This year’s precept has been set at £250,000.00. Which equates to approximately £110/year or £2.11/week. For an average Band D property.
Speed Watch
Martlesham Parish Council Speedwatch volunteers undertook three sessions during November 2025. (December statistics are not available yet).
4th November 2025 at location 1 (Manor Road)
257 vehicles recorded in the 1 hour session 35mph & over = 2 vehicles – 1 letter sent 5% travelling between 31 and 24 mph in the 30 zone
21st November 2025 at location 3 (Eagle Way)
74 vehicles recorded in the 1 hour session No vehicles were travelling 35 miles per hour and above. 8% were traveling between 31 and 34 mph in the 30 zone.
25th November 2025 at location 4 (Main Road)
180 vehicles recorded in the 1 hour session 35mph & over = 9 vehicles – 7 letters sent 16% were travelling between 31 and 34 mph in the 30 zone.

Meetings are held in the Parish Room, Felixstowe Road, Martlesham, IP12 4PB, commencing at 19:30 and are open to the public. Questions can be asked during the public forum. Please check our website and Notice Boards before attending.
