We are a small, friendly camera club that meets twice a month (first and third Tuesdays) at 7:30pm at The Tower Hall on Broadlands Way in Rushmere St Andrew, Ipswich. Our membership is slowly growing: we are currently accepting new members for the 2025-26 season at a reduced rate.

Our programme includes a mixture of inspiring talks by professional photographers, club and inter-club photography competitions and we have show-and-tell sessions where techniques, software and photography kit are discussed, and the occasional hands-on evening.

A ‘taster session’ for a guest is just £3. We have ample free parking available adjacent to the hall. We have refreshments for sale at every meeting. Note: at the moment, we can only accept cash payments.

We run several competitions each year, both for digital images and for prints, and members are free to enter or not, as they choose. Some of the successful images are entered into interclub competitions over the course of the year. Detailed feedback is offered by the judge of each of our in-house competitions at one of our meetings. For each in-house competition, there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd places plus a couple of Merits available to win, but our images are not scored. We learn from the feedback given and from each other.

Maybe you are aspiring to be a professional photographer or are just a keen hobbyist or even a complete novice, perhaps you use a bridge camera, a DSLR, a mirrorless camera or just a phone camera; whatever your level or kit, you are very welcome to join us.
