Ipswich Flyer July Edition: Interesting Events and Activities
The Ipswich Flyer July edition is packed with interesting events and activities for people of all ages. Here are a few highlights:
- Ipswich Group, Suffolk Family History Society will be hosting a talk on July 5th about Stoke Park, a grand home that was once located in Ipswich. The talk will be illustrated with original photos of the home, which was demolished in the early 1900s.
- Ipswich Transport Museum will be unveiling its newly restored Morrison Coal Lorry on July 11th. The lorry was donated to the museum in the early 1980s and has been restored to working order by a team of volunteers.
- Headway Suffolk is running monthly social support groups for people living with dementia in Ipswich and Castle Hill. The groups offer a variety of stimulating and engaging activities, such as indoor games, cognitive exercises, discussions, and social interaction.
- Northgate & Associated Karate Clubs had a successful competition season in May, with students winning medals at the EKF E1 Series Competition in Manchester, the Karate Kid Championships in Harlow, and the Berlin Open.
- St Elizabeth Hospice hosted its flagship fundraiser, the Midnight Walk, on May 20th. The event saw over 1,200 supporters don their best fancy dress and neon-themed outfits to raise money for the hospice.
