Micky and Steve Waycot celebrate 10 years at Farthings Dry Cleaners

Local couple Micky and Steve Waycot are celebrating ten years running the popular Farthings Dry Cleaners in Whiting St, Bury St Edmunds.
This July marks a significant milestone for them as they celebrate their 10-year anniversary.

Over the past decade they have had the pleasure of serving their wonderful community with everyday dry-cleaning services, laundry services, wedding dress cleaning and preservation, alterations, and just good old-fashioned service.

The couple have become a popular fixture in the town’s historical grid and are a prime example of a small business succeeding in challenging times.
‘’The best thing about the job is the lovely people we meet’’ says Micky.

Running a Dry-Cleaning business can be a challenge. ‘’In our ten years at Farthings we’ve seen some very interesting jobs”.
“Wedding dresses are an exciting challenge as these gowns can be very expensive and precious. We’ve had one that was from the ‘40’s and recently a beautiful handmade extravaganza from the ‘80’s”.

“We are so grateful that our customers recognise what we do. We just want to say thank you to all of them for coming back and supporting us over the years. To shop local means local independent businesses like ours will be here for years to come “We really appreciate it”, says Steve.
