Rotary Club Fun Run Programme 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE ROTARY CLUB

Bank Holiday Monday, 5th May, will see our 44th Fun Run take place on Felixstowe seafront. Along with Santa’s Ride around Town and our Charity Boxing Dinner, Fun Run is a major fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Felixstowe, enabling our work in support of those in need. This year we are aiming to beat last year’s record entry of 744 runners with over £7,000 raised.
Rotary Club Fun Run 2025
All the proceeds from entrance fees, sponsorships, advertisements and donations will be used by the Rotary Club to help deserving causes in the local community. And this year our chosen main beneficiaries will be our local Sea, Army and Air Cadet Forces who together provide local young people with access to incredible opportunities and skills to help them launch a career in a complex world.
And, as always, it’s a tremendous opportunity to raise funds for your own club or cause. So come along and join in the fun and fundraising. It really is for all: the fit and the not so fit, teams and individuals, runners and the walkers, and those in fancy dress with prizes for the most eye-catching costume. See column on the next page for how to get involved.
A great deal of organisation is required to enable the Fun Run to take place, and we very much appreciate the generous support that we have always enjoyed from local businesses, organisations and individuals. Along with members of the Rotary Club of Felixstowe who give their time, thanks go to the Suffolk Amateur Athletics Association, and the Freedom Group who provide the barriers and road signs essential to the safety of the event.

And thanks to all our sponsors, advertisers and donors, with a particular mention for our main sponsors Maritime Cargo Processing plc and to the Spa Pavilion for the use of their facilities.
We look forward to seeing you on the day. So, whether you are running, walking, supporting or spectating, have fun on the Fun Run.
