The Lions of Felixstowe are busy preparing to bring Christmas sparkle to the town once again! Continuing a wonderful tradition on our 48th year, Lion Phil Weatherhogg and his dedicated team have been busy throughout the year repairing existing lights and creating new ones, ensuring Felixstowe is ready to shine. Now, it’s almost time for the rest of the Lion members and their Lion friends to join in and put the lights up over 14th and 15th November. As the team works around the town, please take extra care when driving or walking past them. And if you see the team hard at work, give them a friendly beep of support!

The Lions have also held their second Christmas light design competition for Year 5 pupils from schools in Felixstowe and the surrounding area. This year’s winning design was created by Molly Gemmell from Trimley St. Mary’s School. Her design will be brought to life in lights and displayed on the corner of Tesco, with the switch-on at 4.00pm. The main Christmas lights at 5.00 pm, bringing festive cheer to Felixstowe.
