Ware Poets – open mic & guest poet Keith Jarrett

Ware Poets are delighted to welcome writer, performer and educator Keith Jarrett as our guest poet in March.

Keith is a multiple Poetry Slam champion and his work explores Caribbean British identity, religion and sexuality.

Keith’s poem From the Log Book was projected onto St. Paul’s Cathedral, and his play Safest Spot in Town was performed at the Old Vic and aired on BBC Four. Selah, his poetry collection, was published by Burning Eye.

Keith holds a PhD from Birkbeck and teaches at New York University in London. He is a trustee for the Poetry Society, works as a freelance educator in secondary schools, and is completing his debut novel.

The first half of this event will be open mic, so please feel free to bring and read a poem in a friendly and welcoming space

Ware Poets meet monthly at Southern Maltings to enjoy poetry in a relaxed and friendly environment. Everyone is always welcome, whether to read a poem or to enjoy listening.
