The Wertheimer Portraits by John Singer Sargent a Talk by Natasha Chetwynd
Dunmow Art Group is excited to host a talk by Natasha Chetwynd on The Wertheimer Portraits by John Singer Sargent.
John Singer Sargent became family friends with the Wertheimer family. The 13 portraits of the family, now owned by Tate, were the largest commission he completed. As a volunteer guide at Tate and great granddaughter of Ena Wertheimer (attached) Natasha will be talking about Sargent, the paintings and the family,
The talk will be held at the Talberd Room, Foakes Hall, Great Dunmow, on Wednesday 21st January from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The painting demonstration costs £1 for members of Dunmow Art Group and £10 for non-members.
Dunmow Art Group has a long history of supporting artists and art lovers in Dunmow and the surrounding area and has a regular programme of weekly art meetings and monthly visiting artists.
