THE ORWELL SINGERS – CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The Orwell Singers’ Christmas Concert will be on Saturday December 9th at 4.00 pm and will be held at All Saints Church, Main Road, Kesgrave.  This will be a new venue for the choir and we hope that the earlier time will be more convenient for our audience.

Come and join us for an evening of festive music, ranging from Benjamin Britten’s Deo Gracias to Winter Wonderland, and all washed down with some festive punch and mince pies.  Entrance is £9 for adults, cash payable at the door, and free for accompanied children.  There will be a donation from the proceeds of the concert to Digestive Disorders Foundation, Suffolk.

The Orwell Singers were formed in 1993 from the former well-known Olive Quantrill Singers.  The choir is all female voice and there are currently twenty-five singers who come from Ipswich and the surrounding area.  We rehearse weekly at Museum Street Methodist Church in Ipswich under the baton of Lindsay Gowers, our Musical Director.
