An illustrated talk on folk customs (some peculiar to Suffolk) celebrating the passing of the year, from Plough Sunday in January, The Black Shuck Festival and The Race of the Bogmen to The Cutty Wren ceremony, at Middleton (near Saxmundham on Boxing Day.
Some go back into the mists of time, Others are perhaps more recent constructs.
Come along and find out more – your ancestors MAY have participated in them…….
