Ipswich Group, Suffolk Family History Society Monthly Meeting
Monthly Meeting, Ipswich Group, Suffolk Family History Soc
Bryan Thurlow will be coming from Haverhill
to present:
WE’LL MEET AGAIN…….
Billy Jackson from Bethnal Green recalls his childhood memories of being evacuated to a Suffolk farm just before the announcement that Britain was going to war with Germany.
He also remembers he and his sister’s brief return to London only to be bombed out.
Humour and pathos evoke the highs and lows of wartime Britain at this time..
Bryan Thurlow is local Suffolk historian with a background in professional theatre… so an entertaining and thoughtful talk is on the cards.
The Event takes place at:
The Salvation Army Citadel,
