Green Watch – Swifts

Clive Fleming, a local Swift enthusiast who leads the Hertford Swift Group will be the speaker at the All Saints, Hertford Green Watch talk on Saturday, June 28. Marking the start of Swift Awareness Week, Clive will look at the work that is being done in Hertford and the surrounding area to help this much loved Summer bird. Clive will give an update on the status of Swifts around our town, reviewing tne reasons tor their decline in the UK, and looking at initiatives that are starting to make a difference.

There will be advice on our best Swift watching locations, and after the talk, a short walk to see one or two that are nearby.

Tea and coffee will be served from 11:30, with light lunches available from 12:00. The talk begins at 1:00 pm.

Homemade Jams, Marmalade and Chutneys, Locally Pressed Apple Juice, Bird Seed and Handcrafted Greeting Cards will be available from Fiona Earle’s Produce Stall.
