Elsenham Village Plant Sale – Saturday 20 May 9am-12pm

Elsenham Village will be holding its annual Plant Sale on Saturday 20th May.

There are varieties of plants on offer, include tomatoes, sweet peppers, chillies, runner beans, French beans (climbing and short), courgettes and cucumbers, also summer bedding, including dahlias, cosmos, zinnias, sunflowers and other annuals as well as some hardy perennials, such as foxgloves and hollyhocks. 

More info and a full list of plants and prices will be made available on our ‘Elsenham Flower Show Society’ Facebook page at the beginning of May.

Ordering will start at the beginning of May, on a first come/first served basis, since there will be limited stock of some plants. Most individual plants will be £1 per pot, although hostas and other larger plants will be priced slightly more. Orders will be made ready for collection near Elsenham train station on Saturday 20th May. There will also be plants on offer from 50p on the day (9AM to 12PM).  All proceeds go back to the community, towards Elsenham Village Annual Flower Show in August 2023.  Hope to see you on Saturday 20th May – Location: New Road, near Elsenham Train station.

Gardening tips for the month of May: Remember to open greenhouse vents and doors on warm days.  Also, some outdoor plants should not be put in the garden until nearer the end of the month, especially if frosts are forecast.
