Dunmow Flitch Trials 2024

Dunmow Flitch Trials is a 900 year old custom, unique to  Dunmow and unique in the world.
Held in a marquee in the centre of Dunmow, Couples (Claimants) put themselves forward to convince a jury of six maidens and six bachelors that they have never ‘wisht themselves unwed’ in a year and a day.
There are three sittings – 10.30am, 2pm and 7pm, plus a free family village fayre which runs alongside.
