Christmas Fayre

Bishop’s Stortford Christmas Fayre – Saturday 5th December
9:30am – 4:30pm | Town Centre
Christmas is Coming to Town!
Mark your diaries for Saturday 5th December, when the town centre dresses up in its festive best for our much-loved Christmas Fayre. Expect twinkling lights, cheerful crowds and a good dose of Christmas magic.
From 9:30am to 4:30pm, the heart of town will be alive with seasonal sparkle, and the smell of mulled wine and sizzling street food will drift through the air. North Street, Market Square, Potter Street and South Street will all be closed to traffic and fully pedestrianised, so you can stroll, shop, feast and celebrate without a car in sight.
Your Christmas Shopping, Sorted
Wander through a wonderland of specialty Christmas stalls filled with one-off gifts, handmade crafts, home décor and festive treats. Whether you’re after jewellery, candles, beauty goodies or freshly baked festive bites, this is where your Christmas list gets ticked off.
All Our Markets Rolled into One
Our regular Thursday and Saturday traders are joined by the monthly Farmers’ and Craft Market, bringing local produce and handcrafted finds to the mix. Shop small, shop local, and go home with something you won’t find anywhere else.
Fill Up, Warm Up, Cheer Up
Tuck into street food from our brilliant vendors: gourmet hot dogs, BBQ-smoked meats, churros, loaded fries, and plenty more. When the chill sets in, warm your hands around a steaming mulled wine, a boozy hot chocolate or your favourite festive tipple, and raise a toast to the season.
Music, Dancing and Festive Spirit
Local talent takes over the town with live music, dancing and performances outside B&M and on Host Terrace. From joyful choirs to toe-tapping dance troupes, there’s festive cheer for every age all day long.
Say Hello to Santa
Santa will be at his Grotto on North Street, kindly hosted by Intercounty Estate Agents, meeting children and spreading joy throughout the day. Bring your wish list, because he’ll want to hear it!
Don’t Miss St Michael’s Holly Fair
Just a short stroll away, St Michael’s Church Holly Fair runs from 10am to 1pm at the Windhill Churches Centre. Follow the signs from the church and add a little extra festive fun to your day.
