Come along to the museum on 1 December, from 2pm to 4.30pm, for a chance to meet former curator and author Len Pole in the World Cultures Gallery.
You can ask him questions and purchase signed copies of his book, Worlds of Man, which highlights the museum’s world cultures collection which is of international and historic significance.
Collected by 19th and 20th century travellers, missionaries, soldiers and colonial officers, these rare and beautiful objects offer an insight into the history of different cultures from around the world, including the Pacific Islands (including New Zealand), Australia, Africa and the Americas.
