At Ixworth Free School we have some excellent Facilities for hire. Our main hall is available in a variety of
formats with prices starting at just £30 per hour. We also hire out our new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). The MUGA recently opened in April is available for use by groups and individuals throughout the summer
term and during the summer holidays.

The MUGA is currently organised for football but can be used for many other sports and can be hired for £25
per hour. We also hire out our Tennis Courts and sports fi eld. Each tennis court can be hired for £10 per hour.
We are holding our Summer Open Evening (4.30-7pm) on Wednesday 5th June; this is followed by our ‘drop-in’
sessions on Monday 10th & Thursday 13th June (from 9-10.30 am) and in the afternoon on Wednesday 12th
June (2.30-4.30pm);·

The Friends of Ixworth free School are holding a Fun Run on Friday 28th June – 5.30pm – 8pm, with 1k, 3k and
5k races starting at 6pm. There will be: a BBQ & bar; games & Zorbs and trophies for winners and fastest Y5/6
girl/boy, along with medals for all the entrants. Please email katemeasures@hotmail.com to receive your entry form

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish our Year 11 students every success in their
forthcoming GCSE examinations. We are immensely proud of each and every one of you.

Our meetings in our Centenary year centre around the significant roles women play in our lives, we have
on Thursday 6th June Viv Newman telling us about ‘With Billhook & Stick.

They cleared out the Ditches’ the part women played in the land army during
the First World War. On July 4th Jean Minter gives a floristry demonstration, followed by strawberries & Cream.
Future speakers include a Wimbledon Tennis Umpire, an Ascent of Everest and History of Midwifery.

All meetings at Cavendish Hall Thurston at 7.30pm.
