In this month’s Stowmarket Flyer October edition we hear about upcoming events in Stowmarket in November.

Stowmarket November Updates

Stowmarket Christmas Tree Festival

Christmas Tree Light Switch On

On Friday 24th November at 6pm in St Peter and St Mary’s Church in the town centre, we will be having the annual Christmas tree launch. This year we are delighted to welcome the Rednall family to switch the lights on.

Katherine Rednall, a former Stowmarket High School pupil, has won the single women’s World Indoor Bowl’s Championship no less than five time. Her first was at the age of just 18 in 2014. She has subsequently won the title again in 2017, 2018, 2022 and her fifth title in 2023. She will be joined by her father John Rednall, who is a former English International lawn bowls and indoor bowls player with 100 caps for England. He won bronze in the men’s four 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship.

Doors will open at 5.45pm, so come along and hear from Katherine and John, along with the WOW of the lights coming on in the church.

If you would like to decorate a tree yourself or as a group, our application site is open to register until the 27th October and can be found on our church website at https://www.stowmarketparishchurch.co.uk/ under EVENTS.
