Kesgrave Community & Conference Centre
We are proud to announce that we have another defibrillator here on site at KWMCC!
This new life saving equipment is situated inside our Kesgrave Sports Centre outside of our Sports Hall. And which can be accessed via Mead Drive, IP5 2HU or Twelve Acre Approach, IP5 1JF. Also, with thanks to our General Manager Stuart Lawson and East Suffolk District Council Locality budget. And this defibrillator will add to our improvement of facilities here on site. SPARK
SPort, Amenities and Recreation in Kesgrave
In the January edition we gave you information about what SPARK is. And how it may be able to assist your Kesgrave based club, group, team or organisation. But just in case you missed it amongst the Christmas and New Year celebrations we thought we would remind you.
SPARK is a Kesgrave based charity which has for many years helped to provide, develop and support numerous teams, groups and organisations in Kesgrave. And this may be starting up from scratch, buying new equipment. Or funding existing activities in Kesgrave.
Charity Shop Kesgrave
SPARK raises all its funds from the 2nd Stop Charity Shop in Kesgrave, the shop relies on donations and more information can be found at www.facebook.com/2ndstop
The shop is managed by Lyndsey, assisted by Shelagh and many volunteers. And without their hard work SPARK could not help so many people in Kesgrave.
In 2022 SPARK made grants to many different organisations based in Kesgrave with the grants being used for a variety of purposes including equipment, sports clothing, hall or room hire charges.
SPARK has made a good start to 2023 and has already made grants to the following groups etc:-
- Kesgrave High School – to assist in re-surfacing their all-weather play/sport area.
- Kesgrave Army Cadet Detachment – to purchase equipment and a shed to store it.
- Kesgrave District Girl Guides – to assist with fundraising events.
- Kesgrave Friendship Club – to help with different types of entertainment for it’s members.
SPARK would like to remind those who run or organise activities in Kesgrave that help with funding is still available from SPARK. Also even if you have had a grant before and subject to certain criteria.
