KWMCC July 2020 update
As the country starts to gradually get back to some sort of normality, the hospitality and events sector still remains on lock down, though we hope that there will be some movement on this in July and hopefully when this article is published the community centre could be open again to some degree.
Although our doors have been closed and we may not have been able to meet in person, the community of Kesgrave has still been in our hearts. Things continue to progress quietly behind the scenes where possible and under strict measures.
Before our closure we created the KWMCC core values, which support our vision, shape the culture of KWMCC and reflect what is important to us. These values have now been printed on to large boards to be displayed around the community centre.
As well as our back to work plan for staff, we have also been in touch with regular hirers to organise a plan for their activities and events to resume where possible as soon as we are able to open. Implementing changes to room capacities to allow space for social distancing is just one of the items on the agenda.
We are also ensuring that we have all protective measures in place for the safety of our staff and customers, providing a safe environment for all in anticipation of our reopening.
If you wish to start planning, remember you can now check availability and bookings online via the KWMCC website for each of our function rooms, as well as the indoor and outdoor sports facilities. This will be an invaluable tool once we are able to take bookings again.
We look forward to seeing you all very soon, but in the meantime the trustees and staff at KWMCC continue to wish you and your families all the very best and stay alert.
All events and activities are cancelled until further notice, but please continue to check the KWMCC website for any further updates.
