Stowmarket ASD Saturday Clubs
Stowmarket ASD Saturday Clubs is an independent local charity who specialise in providing supported social opportunities, youth club style sessions and life skills opportunities for young people aged up to 18 in our immediate community of Stowmarket and from the surrounding area. This in turn creates respite for our families.
We require a diagnosis of ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) for a young person to become a part of our club, but some of our young members have additional diagnoses. This would need to be discussed with our General Manager Leah Bowers of course when completing joining paperwork and during a home visit which would be part of standard joining procedures. There is sometimes a waiting list depending on how many subscribed attendees we currently have on roll.
We do have fees to pay depending on which of our three types of session young people join.
Stowmarket ASD Saturday Clubs is dependant on local fundraising to be able to subsidise activities and fund resources throughout the year.
Our big fundraising event to round off 2018 is our Festive Film Fundraiser night at The Regal on Friday 30th November and everyone is invited to support and attend this public fundraiser. We are bringing two fabulous Christmas classics back to the big screen on that night with The Polar Express showing at 5pm and Home Alone showing at 7.30pm. All tickets are £6pp for each film with allocated seating, so you can book your favourite or treat yourselves to seeing both ! Booking is via The Regal box office direct on 01449-612825 or in person or on the website http://www.regalstowmarket.co.uk
We hope to see the community of Stowmarket and surrounding area there supporting this our main event rounding off 2018 & thank everyone for their continued support of our charity.
