This month we continue our series of Transition Masterclasses, offering the chance for younger students to engage with the SET Ixworth community and
experience learning in a secondary school environment, with ‘King John’
for Year 5s on Thursday 12 March. Students will become a history detective and discover how figures from the past with local connections
can be represented, using historical sources to form their own opinion. The
session runs from 2:00 – 3:00pm.

We have now held five Soup & Chat lunches from September until February, they have proved very successful, we have about six home made soups available and finish of with cake and tea or coffee. We will start again in September and run through the winter months, we will be holding them
on a Thursday in future. Members enjoyed learning about Dads Army,
a peep behind the screens, Charles Garland also kept us amused with
some very good impressions of some of the actors. Our next meeting is on
Thursday March 5th at Cavendish Hall Thurston at 7.30pm. Lily Indra will be giving us a cookery demonstration, a taste of the Orient. Visitors are
welcome, contact Maxine 230842 or Cathy 270926.
