Spa Pavilion hosts German Youth Band - Mon 27 June

On Monday 27th June from 2.30pm visitors are invited to a FREE performance of the German Youth Orchestra “Lower Saxony”. The orchestra will be visiting from the German Heritage Society and the band hasn’t performed at the Spa since it reopened last November. The Youth Orchestra of Scheeßel was formed in 2003, and has a total of 70 members – 15 of which are travelling to the UK and will be in Felixstowe next Monday for this special performance. To celebrate this visit the Spa will be offering an Afternoon Tea with a German twist – home-made Black Forest Gateau with tea or coffee for visitors for just £5. There will also be German Becks Vier on draught and the Spa will be making a donation from the sales on that day to the Orchestra. There is no entry fee for visitors and the Youth Orchestra, whose members range from 5 years to 15 years old, will be performing classical and modern music as well as a special feature – a wide variety of international folk music too. Ray Anderson, Director for the Spa said “We are delighted to welcome this special group, the band are in demand all over Europe and we are very much looking forward to hearing them play for us here at the Spa.”

There is no need to book for this performance however the band will be performing in the Lounge Bar with its views over the sea, so customers are advised to arrive no later than 2.30pm to ensure a seat.
