August ’19

Felixstowe Art Group

We do not meet at Broadway House in August. This does not mean that our group is not very active.  Throughout the Summer we in Felixstowe are all very busy with our painting. Some members will go on holiday, and many will go to another country and paint whilst away. Some of us will be busy painting for art on the prom.

A few members gathered together during the Summer in the garden of Glynis Littlejohn to sit and paint. We all had a lovely afternoon with our own little tea party. The weather was brilliant and we all enjoyed this so much. Helen and Glynis provided a cake that went down so very well. We have all been most busy with our preparations for our annual exhibition and of course, are all looking forward to our Autumn programme. We will start with our meetings in Broadway House, Orwell Rd Felixstowe on 10th September with Judith Scott, demonstrating soft metals. Meetings will start at 730pm and visitors will be welcome at a cost of £2.

On 7th September we will be holding an event at Felixstowe Library, Crescent Rd Felixstowe.  Two of our artists Glynis Littlejohn and Jim Lait will be painting and answering questions on art. Both Jim and Glynis will be painting for 10-12 and the 1-4 and both would love to see you. This event is free of charge so if you would like to know more about Felixstowe Art Group or art, in general, do come and see us. Who knows you might decide to join this lovely friendly group and have a new hobby and I am sure will never look back.
