‘Bury St Edmunds Lions
On Tuesday 25th January, ‘Bury St Edmunds Lions’ & guests enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating the
‘Chinese New Year.
The event was held at the ‘Zen Noodle Bar’ in Angel Lane. We are very grateful to the management & staff
for providing a superb 3 course meal & also for sponsoring the ‘Lion Dance’.
The Lion Dance is an important part of Chinese Culture. Performers mimic a lion’s movements in a lion costume to
bring good luck and fortune. A Grand Raffle with a huge variety of prizes from ‘a weekend stay in a Bury
hotel’ to a ‘Pipe bending kit’, raised an amazing £872.
Proceeds from the event are in aid of ‘Bury Lions’ charities.
