SUMMARY:Learn Oil Painting Water in the Landscape with Leon Barnes
DESCRIPTION:Dunmow Art Group are pleased to welcome back Leon Barnes for four weeks of oil painting at this summer.\nWe will be doing 2 paintings over 4 weeks.  They will be landscapes with a water theme – Weeping Willows for 2 weeks and a beach scene for 2 weeks.\nLeon is a dedicated oil painter with a work history in sign writing and model making which developed his love for detail.  He says, “Detail plays a major role in my painting, drawn to light and shadows and the effect this has on the overall picture”.  He is a process driven artist often working Alla Prima creating a fusion of contemporary, yet traditional work.  light and shadows and the effect this has on the overall picture from the dappling of light on the woodland floor or the lifelike texture of an animal’s coat. paints landscapes capturing their beautiful, vibrant colours and textures.\nLeon has exhibited and sold many works through various art fairs & exhibitions.  Leon says, “I take great pleasure discussing my work and process and take time and care when discussing with clients how to bring their commission visions to life”.\nThe classes will be held for three hours between 12.30pm and 3.30pm on Monday 22nd, 29th Jun and 6, 13 July 2026 in the Foakes Hall in Great Dunmow.  The cost is £1 for members of Dunmow Art Group and £10 for non-members.\nDunmow Art Group has a long history of supporting artists and art lovers in and around Dunmow and has a regular programme of weekly art meetings and monthly visiting artists.\nFor further information on Dunmow Art Group please contact info@dunmowartgroup.org or go to dunmowartgroup.org\n
