DESCRIPTION:Friday 5th May is the Annual General Meeting of The Martlesham Heath Aviation Society, looking at another successful year when the Society has really moved on, we have now overcome all the handicaps remaining after the COVID epidemic –\nThe AGM will be followed by a rarely seen film about: NIMROD – The Mighty Hunter.\nNIMROD, utilising the basic Airframe of the De-Havilland Comet became the NIMROD MRA2 Maritime Reconnaissance Aircraft and R1 Signals Intelligence Aircraft until their demise in 2011.\nThis film will be followed by one of our members describing, using his own experiences, the 5 years he spent as the Senior Contracts Officer in MoD with the MRA2/R1 Project Team – particularly as just after he joined the team, Nimrod MRA2 – XV230 was lost over Afghanistan.\nThe Martlesham Heath Aviation Society,\nMonthly Meeting\nFriday 5th May @ 7:30 p.m.\nMartlesham Heath Community Centre,\nFelixstowe Road, Martlesham Heath, IP12 4PB\nEntrance to this Meeting is FREE – there is a large Car park behind the Hall\n
