In Suffolk today there are over 800 children in care – could you help just one of them?

Today in Suffolk we have over 800 children in care, the majority of whom need foster placements, and there is always at least 15 children waiting to be adopted at any one time. Suffolk Fostering and Adoption Services are actively looking for more people willing to consider fostering or adoption and make a difference to these children’s lives.

YOU CAN HELP BRING THE OLYMPIC TORCH TO STOWMARKET!

There is currently a campaign by “Visit Suffolk” to bring the olympic torch to Stowmarket. Visit Suffolk is asking people to submit their views via their website on where in Suffolk the torch should visit. We feel it should come to Stowmarket, one of the fastest growing market towns in the UK and as central to the county as you can get! Please help to make this become a reality by clicking here and saying why you’d like to see the olympic torch in Stowmarket.

MUSIC ON THE MARKETPLACE DURING AUGUST

We noticed that the street entertainment that featured in the marketplace during Stowmarket Festival created a great atmosphere in the Town Centre – so we’ve decided to do it again. We’ve booked some great musical acts to perform on the marketplace every Wednesday in August. There will also be an open-air cafe provided by Cafe No. 1 so people can relax with a coffee and bite to eat whilst enjoying the music. Performances will take place at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30am and the line-up is as follows:
