Ipswich – Duke Street Junction Roadworks

Work starts on Monday 28th June on the Ipswich Duke Street Improvement scheme.
This involves removing the Duke Street roundabout and replacing it with a signalised junction.
Talented Performers Wanted For Suffolk Youth Theatre Summer School

The search is on for 50 of the most talented young people across the county to join the Suffolk Youth Theatre Summer School this August.
In just one week of intense workshops and rehearsals, budding actors will devise and perform an original piece of theatre, fusing drama, music and dance. The summer school will be held at Northgate Arts Centre in Ipswich from 2nd August – 6th August 2010 and is open to anyone aged 13 and over.

IPSWICH TO PAY TRIBUTE TO ARMED SERVICES

Ipswich will be flying the flag for the Armed Forces at two ceremonies in the town later this month.
The events will take place on British Armed Forces Day – Monday 21st June, at 10.30am – and will be attended by service and ex-service organisations, veterans, cadets and civic leaders.
The Mayor, Councillor Jane Chambers, will lead one ceremony outside the Town Hall, while the Leader of Ipswich Borough Council, Councillor Liz Harsant, will preside outside the Council’s Grafton House offices in Russell Road.
