Sandy Sutherland has done it again!
April 23, 2012 by flyeronline · Leave a Comment
Sandy Sutherland has done it again! This year’s Air Ambulance charity night, held on 31st March at Kesgrave Social club, was, for the fourth year running a total success. The night saw a packed club being entertained by local 60’s and 70’s band ‘’Rave On’’, some jazz sounds from ‘’Jazzshades’’ and of course, Sandy’s own band ‘’The Martells.
The annual event organized by Sandy is to raise funds for our East Anglia Air Team after they saved his life following a heart attack in 2007.
Many thanks to all involved this year including Phil Bennett, who provided the light and sound, Keith Rodwell for his involvement, Kesgrave Social club for allowing us to hold the event there and not least to all the local companies who provided our excellent raffle prizes, with their help we raised an amazing £3925 this year!

The East Anglian Academy of Organ and Early Keyboard Music starts its new season at 12.00 midday on Sunday 22 April at St Michael’s Church Framlingham, with a free organ recital by John Stafford entitled ‘A Grand Tour of the organ capitals of Europe’. The Academy, founded in 2001 by Malcolm Russell, promotes concerts and other events on historic instruments and continues to have the use of Framlingham’s famous 1674 Thomas Thamar organ, thanks to the valuable support of the Rector and Churchwardens. This first concert features music current in the early years of the Framlingham organ’s existence.
