Nominations close for Suffolk Coastal elections

A grand total of 138 candidates will fight the Suffolk Coastal District Council elections with only two candidates elected without a contest, as the Council’s current Leader, Ray Herring was the only person nominated for the Orford and Tunstall ward, and Phillip Dunnett was the only person nominated for the Snape ward.
Jeremy Pembroke retires as Leader of Suffolk County Council

County Councillor Jeremy Pembroke has decided to retire as Leader of Suffolk County Council.
Councillor Pembroke has served on Suffolk County Council since May 2001 – for the last six years as Leader. He will continue his role as local member for the Cosford division.
