Ipswich Orchestral Society Concert

Ipswich Orchestral Society is delighted to be welcoming young British classical star, Jennifer Pike to perform at the Corn Exchange on November 28th.

With her phenomenal talent, Jennifer won the BBC young Musician of the Year competition in 2002 at the age of 12, the youngest winner ever. Now aged 19, she already has an established international career and has won several important prizes. She played the violin twice in concerts at this year Proms, and you may also have seen her virtuoso spot on the Last Night when she performed on the vacuum cleaner, along with Sir David Attenborough and Goldie!

Jennifer will be performing the magical Sibelius Violin Concerto, in a programme which opens with the exuberant overture Les Francs Juges by Berlioz and ends with Dvorak’s 8th Symphony, deservedly one of the most popular in the concert repertoire.
